Description
Job Purpose
To provide specialized coaching
to teachers in foundational literacy and numeracy skills (ECE to Grade 5),
using evidence-based methods suited to low-resource, multigrade, and remote
classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom-based coaching to each teacher (minimum 2
sessions per teacher per month)
- Develop low-cost teaching aids using local materials
- Assess student reading and math levels using READ Foundation
tools
- Identify struggling students and design remedial plans
- Train teachers on multigrade teaching techniques (for
Satellite Schools)
- Support Model School teachers to achieve "best of
best" performance
- Document best practices for sharing across all schools
- Contribute to winter camps for boarding school students
(literacy/numeracy focus)
- Ensure
measurable class-level improvements in student literacy and numeracy while
delivering weekly coaching reports to the Academic Coordinator.
- Authorized
to pause lessons for live technique demonstrations and recommend
supplementary training to the Academic Coordinator.
- Drive
a 20% improvement in student assessment scores through bi-monthly teacher
coaching and targeted remedial planning for all below-grade learners.
- Requires travel to all assigned schools, including remote multigrade settings, to conduct demonstration lessons in crowded classrooms.
Academic Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must meet the standard
16-year education benchmark recognized by the HEC:
- A Master's degree (MA/MSc) or a 4-year Bachelor's (BS Honors)
in Education, English, Urdu, Mathematics, or a related Field.
- A minimum of a 2nd Division or a CGPA of 2.50+ (or 3.50+ out
of 5.0) from an HEC-recognized university.
- Typically, 3 to 5 years of demonstrated success as a
classroom teacher, specifically in early childhood, elementary, or middle
school environments.
- Experience in a leadership, mentoring, or supervisory role.
