Job Overview
The Finance Coordinator will
provide robust financial management, accounting, and compliance oversight for
the READ Foundation Nok Kundi Project (Government Primary School Support
Project). This role is pivotal in ensuring
the project’s financial integrity and operational efficiency. The Finance
Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and maintaining internal
financial controls, managing budgets, ensuring donor compliance, and overseeing
financial reporting and partner financial management. This position requires a
proactive individual who can work closely with the project team to ensure that
all financial activities align with READ Foundation’s policies and the specific
requirements of donors and local laws in Balochistan.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain
accurate financial records and ensure timely recording of all project
transactions.
· Manage
cash flow, bank balances and petty cash; process payments after verifying
approvals and supporting documents.
· Review
invoices, receipts, delivery notes and other supporting documents before
processing payments.
· Prepare
monthly financial reports, bank/balance-sheet/partner reconciliations and
month-end packages.
· Support
budget preparation and revisions; monitor expenditure, analyse variances and
coordinate forecasts.
· Work
with project teams to develop realistic monthly and quarterly forecasts and
ensure cost-effective implementation.
· Review
partner financial reports and payment requests; conduct due diligence, spot
checks and compliance assessments.
· Identify
financial-management gaps of partners and provide appropriate capacity-building
support.
· Prepare
donor-compliant reports and ensure compliance with tax, statutory, donor and
organizational requirements.
· Coordinate
internal and external audits and follow up the implementation of audit
recommendations.
· Support finance-related ERP transactions, maintain internal controls and update the project fixed asset register.
· Maintain complete financial files and archives to ensure continuous audit readiness.
Important
Notes:
· Strong
knowledge of financial accounting, internal controls, risk management,
Pakistani taxation and statutory regulations, with excellent analytical,
problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and Microsoft Office and accounting
software skills.
